Electronic Arts today dropped a bomb as they announced they will be bringing the UEFA Euro 2012 game will be an expansion pack to Fifa 12.
The Expansion pack will be made available for Xbox 360,PlayStation 3 and PC from 24 April for £15.99 (1,800 MS Points or 2,500 FIFA Points on PC). But even with the lack of retail release and cut price, that doesn’t mean EA are cutting back the game will still include, 53 UEFA member national teams, all eight official stadiums in the tournament,
The game will allow you to head online to compete online to represent your nation and change history. The online also features live services similar to that in the Fifa World Cup game allowing you to change the course of the Euro’s while they are still going on.
In the single player front we have expedition mode, EA says “The all-new Expedition Mode, enables fans to build, manage and compete with a customised team against other European nations. Fans will choose their favourite European player or FIFA 12 Virtual Pro to captain their customised team, win matches to earn better players from defeated nations, and then defeat the best nations to earn the best players in a campaign quest to defeat all 53 countries and complete the journey to conquer Europe.”
Its a bold move from EA, with their tournament games normally selling well at retail at full price, but this way of selling these games can only be good for consumers.
