The World Ends With You Gets iOS Port

The website that had teased fans with a countdown of an announcement regarding The World Ends With You has ended. However, it wasn’t the news most fans wanted to hear. Instead of getting a full fledged sequel like many had hoped for, the announcement was that The World Ends With You is getting an iOS port.

Hold on, it’s not quite the same game you remembered playing for the DS. Remember how you had dual screens for the DS and you had to control two characters at once? Well, this port is being redubbed as ‘The World Ends With You: Solo Remix’, meaning you only play as one character at a time. It’ll also be repolished with HD and have new songs and remixes.

It’s reported that the release date for this ‘remix’ will be tomorrow….for Japan. There’s no date yet for North America. The price for the iPhone version will be $18 and the iPad version will cost $20. Ouch.
