Halo, love it or hate it, there is no denying that the franchise helped mould the course of popular gaming into what it became today. Today, 343 Industries, the compnay that has taken the reigns of the seris from Bungie, announced the worldwide release date for the next part in what has become the Halo saga.
6th of the November is the day that Halo 4 will be released to the entire world. This will be the game that continues the story of Master Chief that was concluded at the end of 2007.
Halo 3 was supposed to be the final part in the Halo franchise, but since then we have seen three more games come out in the forms of ODST, Reach and the anniversary remake. Bungie finally gave in to outcry and announced that Master Chief’s story would continue, but they wouldn’t be the ones to bring it to us.
After Halo: Reach Bungie officially handed things over to 343i so that they could focus on newer projects. 343 Industries have already given us the re-skinned version of the very first Halo last year, but this is the first full game game they are developing. If they can keep the Halo magic alive remains to be seen.
Further developments to follow…
