Teenager From Taiwan Dies After 40 Hours Of Diablo III

Good lord I can’t believe it happened again. I can’t stand to watch people die over video games. Last sunday, a teenager in Taiwan collapsed and died after playing Diablo III for 40 hours straight. According to the United Daily News, the boy didn’t touch a piece of food for those 40 hours. My God…

The report states that a teen, identified by the surname Chuang, booked a private room in a cafe on July 13 and was discovered in his room two days later resting on a table by an attendant. The attendant woke Chuang, and as he began to stand up he collapsed and died.

He was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after. The cause of death is being investigated the police. It’s believed that prolonged sitting caused heart failure.

What most likely happened was that during his session, Chuang developed massive clots in the veins in his legs. When he stood up, all of that blood broke free and within seconds, went straight to his heart and lungs. The blood suffocated his lungs and heart, thus he died. What a shame.

Comments:

I think the first sentence this article up quite nicely. Why did no one check this room where a person was supposed to be for two whole days? Would it have killed them to check in on him once a shift because not doing it certainly killed him.
