Resident Evil 6 Anthology, Resident Evil 6 Archives Confirmed

Today, Capcom has confirmed that both the Resident Evil 6 Anthology and Resident Evil 6 Archives packages are the real deal. Playstation 3 owners will be lucky enough to get their hands on the six main titles in the RE series, while Xbox 360 owners will be getting a more randomized selection. Here’s the list:

RESIDENT EVIL 6 ANTHOLOGY (PS3)

  • Resident Evil 6
  • Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
  • Resident Evil 4 HD
  • Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
  • Resident Evil 2
  • Resident Evil: Director’s Cut

RESIDENT EVIL 6 ARCHIVES (360)

  • Resident Evil 6
  • Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition
  • Resident Evil 4 HD
  • Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD
  • Resident Evil Degeneration (DVD film)

Both packages will be available on October 2nd for $89.99 each, along with the standard version of the game. Already a lot of people are upset about the strange exclusiveness of the separate versions as well as the lack of both Resident Evil Zero and the Resident Evil remake. But, it’s hard for me to find a lot of reason to complain to about this whole ordeal. Whether you’re on 360 or PS3, you’re still getting one hell of a deal.

Comments:

I’d say the PS3 version is the better one, honestly. The original 3 RE titles are always classics, and while 4/5 weren’t my favorites, they’re still pretty good to be included all together for $30 extra.

For the Xbox verion…Code Veronica was a blast to play (except for Steve), but the movie was…uh, not good. At all.

Oh my dear god, thats amazing – Even more excited for October now!
