Today Nintendo Announced to the world that they have hired Duncan Orrell-Jones, the new senior vice president of network business. Mr. Jones will oversee the development of Nintendo of America’s digital business for the Wii U and the 3DS.
When asked about the subject Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime responded by stating “Duncan Orrell-Jones brings knowledge and hands-on experience to Nintendo that will help us develop and implement long-term digital initiatives for our systems. By creating this new position we’re demonstrating our commitment to the expansion of our online business, and Duncan is the perfect person for the job.”
Prior to his new job at Nintendo, Mr. Jones worked at the Walt Disney Company starting in 1993. Before leaving Disney he served as senior vice president for the Disney Interactive Media Group. He will start the new job on July 1, 2012.
