Today legendary Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto conveyed his feelings about the PS Vita to Edge Magazine. When asked what his thoughts were on the product Miyamoto simply said, “I think I really can’t say. It’s obviously a very high-spec machine and you can do lots of things with it, but I don’t really see the combination of software and hardware that really makes a very strong product. But I can’t really say.” It’s pretty obvious from this statement that Miyamoto is not a fond endorser of this product.
Miyamoto later goes on to say, “I’m not looking at Vita as happy that it’s not selling well,or scared that it would sell well – I’m not look at Vita in that way.” I think that this was a very hypocritical move on Miyamoto’s part because when the 3DS first hit shelves, it barely sold. In the great words of Ben Folds “Time takes time you know.” In other words, give the Vita a chance Miyamoto because honestly you’ve got nothing to lose.
