Bioshock Infinite being delayed till 2013

It was announced this morning that Bioshock Infinite, possibly the most highly anticipated game of 2012 is going to have its release date pushed back to February 26th 0f next year.

Publisher Take-Two revealed in a press release that developers felt pretty confident about getting the game finished in time for the original October release date, however since then they have realise that “some specific tweaks and improvements will make Infinite into something even more extraordinary“.

This isn’t the first time the game has been pushed back, and based on what had been said about the delay both this time and previously it seems like they’re trying too hard to make the game perfect.

Excuse or not, I’m sure gamers the world round would rather play a fully finished version of the new Bioshock game and not a rushed out mess. That doesn’t mean we’re still not disappointed though.

The game is going to be held back from any public events from now on also, so the next time anyone not at Irrational gets to play Bioshock Infinite, it will be in their own home. So best set those clocks back another four months everyone.
