Another Game Delayed till 2013

First Bioshock Infinite was pushed back to a release date in the non-existent year of 2013 and now the news has come to light that the new reboot of the Tomb Raider series is going to undergo a similar fate.

The head of Crystal Dynamics stated that they wanted to bring gamers the best possible game they could and, of course, they wanted a few more months of development time in order to bring us the best possible game they can. Despite the reasoning being some extra polish, it was promised that the little extra time taken would be well worth it.

This new Tomb Raider was announced at the end of 2010 and was received very well. Tomb Raider is a series that has really fallen out of favour in the gaming community, it was huge in the era of the first Playstation, but players eventually got bored with the finicky jumping puzzles and the plank of wood with two potatoes nailed to it that Lara Croft had become.

This new Tomb Raider looked to completely change what the series was though, and aside from looking fantastic and giving Croft the proportions of a normal human being, it introduced new elements of survival and desperation that were previously unknown to the series.

Tomb Raider remake was initially schuedled for a late 2012 release but is now being pushed back to early 2013.
